Othe banking unions announced today an agreement with credit institutions for increases of 3% of wage tables and pensions, having cancelled the demonstrations and strike of november 30.

In a joint communiqué, the National Trade Union of Banking Boards and Technicians (SNQTB) and the three trade unions of the sector concerned with the UGT say they have reached an agreement “to update 3% of the wage tables, pensions and other financial expression clauses covered by the agreement”.

In the document, the four unions welcome the conclusion of the negotiation process with the Portuguese Association of Banks (APB) and the Central Mutual Agricultural Credit Fund (CCAM), pointing to the results of the “union firmness” and the “bank union”.

In this sense, SNQTB, More Union, Workers' Union of the Financial Sector of Portugal (SBN) and National Union of Banking Workers, Insurance and Technologies (SBC) clarify that “the demonstrations and the national strike planned for November 30, 2026 are without effect”.

Nevertheless, the initiatives calling for institutions that are not covered by these understandings will continue.
