Um cryptocurrency site offers digital money to users who share content on vote 22, candidate number Flávio Bolsonaro, in an action with children from Uganda. Practice is prohibited by Electoral Justice.
To take this kind of action, whether by companies or the candidate himself, is prohibited by the Electoral Justice of the country, highlighted to Lusa the lawyer and professor of Electoral Law of the Fundação de Getúlio Vargas (FGV) of São Paulo Fernando Neisser.
"Brazilian legislation prohibits you from having electoral propaganda on a page belonging to the legal entity, which is already the case. It forbids legal persons to campaign for someone. This is considered an illegal donation per company to a campaign," he said.
“Probably you have this gamification, issues that mix electoral propaganda with lots, prizes, monetization”, he said.
Under the name ‘Brazil Token 22’, the website announces that it has as its official partner the group of children dancers from Uganda, the Hyper Kids Africa, which has 12.9 million Instagram followers, who have been very prominent in events and campaigns related to FIFA and the World Cup of 2026.
Published on Instagram yesterday, the video shows children dancing and dubbing Flávio’s campaign jingle “vote, vote and confirm, 22 is Bolsonaro. The publication has over 1.2 million views, 255,000 likes, almost 50,000 shares, and over 76,000 comments.
In the legend of the publication, there is the following text: “We received 120 million $B22 chips through this partnership! A movement that supports HyperKids and believes in a better Brazil. We support the vision of Nikolas Ferreira, Flávio Bolsonaro and Pablo Marçal».
«Join us: buy $B22, share it on your social networks and visit the site to learn how to earn chips by inspiring others to vote 22!», the statement continues in another part of the publication.
Federal deputy most voted in Brazil, with 3 million votes by the state of Minas Gerais, Nikolas is a conservative and evangelical politician, 30 years old, being one of the main voices of Bolosnarism.
Pablo Marçal, an ally of pelotanarism, tried to be a candidate for president of Brazil by the PRTB, but is ineligible for committing electoral crime in 2024, by promoting video cut contests with prize offers for his followers.
Already on the website of Brazil 22 Token, there is a drawing of a golden coin with the name of the portal in bottle letters, having in the background the map and the flag of the country. On the edge of the coin are the words: “A stronger Brazil”, “Freedom”, “Progress” and “Freedom”.
The portal describes the initiative as ‘a meme with a dual social cause’, in a ‘movement that unites support for voting 22 and the proposal to help the HyperKids to complete their home in Kampala’.
The purchase of $B22 tokens, i.e. digital currency units that can be traded, can be purchased via PIX or by applying Moonshot, which allows debit and credit.
Wanted by Lusa, Flávio Bolsonaro’s campaign reported, in a note, that “it does not know the authorship of the ‘site’ cited, as well as it has no relation to its content and nor to the sale of cryptocurrencies”
‘There are no profiles contracted by Flávio Bolsonaro’s campaign to advertise, whether of product or content’ and that the legal team will take legal action against publication.
The campaign of the Brazilian President, Lula da Silva, triggered the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) "against distribution of cryptocurriculars by pro-Flávio Bolsonaro propaganda and manipulated video".
Also in the interview with Lusa, Fernando Neisser recalled that Brazilian electoral legislation also prohibits "involvement of people from abroad in election campaigns".
“This can lead to fines being imposed on those responsible, when identified, who have dropped these contents,” he explained by pointing out that if any involvement of Flavio’s campaign is proven, his candidacy may be terminated.
Lusa's report entered the public group of Telegram "Brazil ($B22)", which has more than 11.8 thousand members, and there are several messages with cryptocurrency values and asking for a vote 22.
Some members also discussed and exchanged splinters among themselves, after some members showed concern about the news about the initiative, and this ended up harming Flávio Bolsonaro.
“Will you just be criticizing? Or will support the cause,” writes the group administrator identified as ‘Lux’.
“I’m just [I’m] saying it will [give] bad to the campaign,” answered the user identified as @vipmecoins.
