Na time when the robots are expanding, there is one that promises to stand out: Tesla Cybercab, which dispenses the steering wheel and traditional pedals proving to be totally autonomous.
The model, which thus wants to revolutionise the passenger transport landscape, will be officially presented on september 3 in Austin (Texas). This is part of a publication of the manufacturer on social networks.
Also the specialized Teslarati website announced that it had received the invitation to the event and “to experience the future of total autonomy”.
Today, prototypes are already known, which have invaded the public road in tests. In addition, they were originally presented at the end of 2024.
With a coupe profile, tesla Cybercab takes two passengers aboard and its particularity is: no steering wheel and pedals (to be judged by what has already been shown and said by the manufacturer himself, since the production version may have some kind of command that allows human intervention).
It has a 222 hp engine to pull by its 1,412 kg weight, while the 47.6 kWh battery provides up to 472 km autonomy.
It should be noted that Tesla debuted in the commercial services of autonomous taxis last June in Austin City, with adapted versions of Model Y – which never lost its physical controls. Cybercab production takes place outside Texas.
