O coach of Vitória SC, Tiago Margarido, today expressed hope that the goals would emerge “in catadupa” and stressed the ambition to win in the Stadium of Light, Sunday, on the eighth day of the I League of Football.

There are four consecutive rounds without winning, the Victory SC has five triumphs in the Stadium of Light in its history, the last of which in 2009 and Tiago Margarido said look at these data as “a challenge”.

“ We looked at it as an opportunity, a challenge, Victory hasn't won in the Light in 17 years and we see it as an opportunity to make history in that sense. Statistics and history are worth what they are worth, we know that we have a game ahead that will have a level of enormous difficulty, but we are very believers that we will be able to bring points, making our game, and that we will make money ", said.

Asked if a tie can be a good result, replied: “If there is one thing I have learned since I entered this house, it is that Victoria always enters all games, whatever opponent it is, to win. We never go with this thought [of the draw], but always with that of winning”.

The Vitória SC has only five goals scored, but the coach proved confident that the team has already surpassed this phase, notably with the four private games that he has held at this stop of the championship.

“ This stop was very positive for us to make a ‘reset’ about it. We worked hard on the finish and the last third, we had games/training with teams with low block to feel more difficulty in making goal and we made seven goals, we passed that. We have a very great belief that the goals will arise in catadupa ", said.

The Victorian coach also gave praise to Benfica.

“ It's a very well-connected team, it's one of Benfica's strongest teams in recent years, it's a work of excellence by Marco Silva. The team plays manifestly well, adapts quickly to the difficulties that the opponents create ", analyzed.

Benfica lost in the previous day with FC Porto, in the ‘Dragon’ (3-1) and the technician considers that the ‘carnified’ will want to give an answer.

“ It was a game with very specific features, in which Benfica played with less than one player very early. I think Benfica derives from this a very great desire to give an answer and I think it does not benefit us at all, on the contrary”, he said.

Vitória SC, 14th ranked, with five points, and Benfica, third, with 16, face each other from 18:00 on Sunday, at Estádio da Luz, in Lisbon, in a game that will be arbitrated by Luís Godinho, the football association of Évora.
