O instagram leader Adam Mosseri was featured in the podcast “Lenny’s Podcast” and during the conversation highlighted three traits that he looks for in the people he chooses to work on the social network.

“ For a long time, regardless of function, I have always looked for three things”, said Mosseri, pointing out that candidates for positions on Instagram must learn quickly and be resilient.

However, Mosseri preferred to highlight the third feature for someone to be considered to join Instagram: to have self-awareness.

The leader of the social network explained that he chooses people who have self-consciousness because, normally, “can really get feedback” and improve on the basis of what they are told.

Instagram Edits received one of the most useful news

The goal of bilingual legends is to get content creators to share videos with a wider group of Instagram users, allowing them to automatically translate subtitles into a second language.

“ If you have one of these three things, you have claws, you learn fast and you are self-conscious, you can eventually get good at anything.”, explained Mosseri according to the business Insider site. “ But if any of these things are missing, there’s usually a problem.”.

The reason Mosseri looks for these three traits in potential Instagram workers is related to the rapid changes to which not only social networks are subject, but also the technology industry as a whole.

Having employees who adapt easily, acquire knowledge and skills will tend to continue to be among the top places of the most used digital platforms in the world.

European Commission advocates restricting access for young people to social networks

The President of the European Commission today defended restrictions on access to social networks for minors, with age-related limitations, in the European Union (EU), intending to submit a proposal after the summer.

“ We must consider progressive and gradual access to different age groups” to social networks and other ‘online’ platforms, Ursula von der Leyen said, in press statements after receiving an expert report on the measures that the EU can take to protect children on the internet.

Goodbye, Facebook? WhatsApp will have the most useful functionality of the social network

“Just as we don’t give our children car keys before they have a driver’s license, or we don’t allow them to buy alcohol until they are legal age to do so, we should also establish the age from which children can legally access social networks”, said Von der Leyen.

After the summer, the Commission will present concrete proposals after studying the expert report, said the leader of the European executive, but stressing that it should allow access to screens up to 13 years of age under adult surveillance and limited time

From the age of 13, access to social networks will be gradually extended, but the age of users must be proven by platforms.
