One of the most requested features of WhatsApp is (almost) arriving

OwhatsApp users who have been waiting for years for the application to schedule sending messages can celebrate, since the beta version of the message service already has this feature.

Remember that this option is one of the most requested by WhatsApp users, especially given that the main rival – Telegram – has had this feature since 2019.

Now, the WABETAInfo site says that the 2.26.8.11 update to the beta version of WhatsApp on Android already has this feature. This means that users of this version of WhatsApp can already experience the possibility of scheduling the sending of messages, which is a good sign that the final version may receive this option very soon.

“Users can schedule a message from a conversation”, explains the WABETAInfo. “ After writing a message in the text entry field, you need to press the upload button for a few moments. If functionality is available, this action shows an interface where users can decide when they want to send the message. The app does not send the message immediately, but schedules your submission until the moment you choose. Then WhatsApp automatically sends it at the time of choice, even with the app closed”.

The publication notes that, in addition to text, the functionality also allows scheduling the sending of photos, videos and links to websites. However, this possibility is accompanied by the limitation that only one file can be scheduled at a time.

If users want to manage the messages they have scheduled, a new area will be entered in the chat information where you can see the message, manage the upload and even delete it – with recipients never receiving any notification that a scheduled message has been deleted.

It is not yet clear when WhatsApp will make the ability to schedule messages in the final version of the app available, but with the arrival of the beta version it seems certain that it is only a matter of time before we have news.
