The polls opened today at 08:00 in Sweden for a legislative election that promises to be much disputed, with the possibility of a left-wing return to power or the entry, for the first time, of the far right into the government.

ANDthis election is fought between, on the one hand, the block of center-left, led by social democrat Magdalena Andersson, ephemeral leader (2021-2022) and, on the other, Ulf Kristersson, current prime minister who hopes to remain in power with his right wing coalition, supported by the far right.
In the event of victory, Kristersson promised ministerial positions to members of the far right.
For several months, the government coalition, formed in 2022, was considered a loser in relation to the left-wing bloc.
But the most recent polls showed that that difference decreased considerably.
The polls close at 20:00 (19:00 in Lisbon), when two polls are expected at the mouth of the polls. More reliable partial results will be available a few hours later.
About eight million voters are called to the polls, and more than half have voted in advance.
