There are new features in Xpeng cars, thanks to update now available on operating system (XOS 5.9.5).
This is reaching the SUV G6 and G9, as well as the berlinas P7 and P7+, being carried out remotely (over-the-air) without the need for movement to the mark.
Anxiety of autonomy in the past?
With the new update, cars gain in loading performance and in the efficiency of the heat management of the battery with cold time. Besides, the indication of the battery percentage after a charging is more accurate and there are more complete energy consumption graphs.
It is also more precise to calculate the autonomy that remains. On the other hand, the Chinese manufacturer promises better reports on the state of health of new battery sets. They were still, corrected disparities between the consumption of the journey and that in the previous 100 kilometres.
Aid for driving and safety
O XPilot Assist – set of driving assistance functions – starts to have cruise control adaptive & maintenance in the running range, as well as manual control of curved speed reduction functionality (the driver can activate or disable automatic adjustment).
The cars have automatic parking assistant (with possible manual choice of place and direction of exit), as well as intelligent maximum headlamps. It should also be noted that the rear windscreen wipers are adapted to the windscreen wiper speed.
The vehicle retreats less, which improves the starters on the rise, and the headlights are always on during driving. The functionality of emergency call in case of major accidents is another novelty in Xpeng cars with the upgrade – which also introduces guidelines on the location of the emergency mechanisms of opening doors. There are also improved towing instructions.
Information and comfort on board
There's one new split screen template for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay where half displays the smartphone playback and the other half includes applications on board Xpeng (including navigation). On the other hand, XDock is always visible, facilitating access to essential controls such as volume or air conditioning functions.
With XOS 5.9.5, there is a new remote air conditioning mode, which allows you to lower the noise level when the passenger compartment is being preconditioned through the Xpeng mobile app.
And speaking of noise, the thermal management system is also smaller in parking maneuvers and while leading to low speeds.
If the driver or passenger forgets a key in the trunk, the gate automatically reopens and warns about forgetfulness.
