Aat the age of 28, brazilian singer Zé Felipe revealed that it was diagnosed with piriform syndrome, which is a condition that can cause intense pain in the gluteal zone and extends to the legs, as reported by the G1.
The artist told that he sought medical help after having felt discomfort and had initially attributed to the repetition of movements during physical exercises, adds the G1.
However, last Wednesday, October 28, when talking to followers on Instagram, explained that for moments they suspected that pain was associated with sciatic nerve. But they found out the problem was different.
Previously, the singer had already reported severe pain and revealed at the time that this same pain had been relieved with an injection. Now, he says, he's getting treatment and he's getting better symptoms.
According to the Shell Clinic, “pyriform syndrome is a painful musculoskeletal condition characterized by a combination of symptoms, including hip, gluteal or thigh pain. It is often described as a peripheral neuritis of the sciatic nerve branches caused by an abnormal condition of the pyriform muscle, such as an injured or irritated muscle. Its diagnosis and treatment are challenging due to the complex anatomy of the pelvic and gluteal regions and the controversies regarding their existence”.
