Uthe important part of the baby's development is stimulating the brain. If you think it's something that can be complicated, we show you that it can actually be simpler than you think. Know seven ways to stimulate your baby's brain every day.
The Baby Signal page shared some of the habits that eventually help your baby's development and especially the brain.
How to stimulate the baby's brain
“Your baby doesn’t need genius toys. He needs moments of day to day with you. In the early years, the brain develops rapidly. Simple experiences help create and strengthen new connections” reads in the publication.
Learn what to do to stimulate the development of your baby's brain.
1- Talk
“ Tell me what you're doing and respond to your sounds. Even before the first words, the brain is already listening and learning.
2- Read it together
“The baby doesn’t need to understand the story. Hearing your voice, rhythms and different words contributes to the development of language.”

3- Play face to face
“Smile, imitate your expressions, make a sound and wait for an answer. These little interactions are also learning.”
4- Let him explore
“Simple toys help the baby discover cause and effect.”
5- Explore different textures
“ Let him play safely on soft, smooth, relief or loud objects.
This offers new experiences to the developing senses.”
6- Answer the signs
A look, crying, movement or sound can be communication. When you answer, your baby learns that your signs have meaning.”
7- Take care of sleep and feeding
“ Sleep suitable for age and good eating also contribute to the healthy development of the baby’s brain.”
Why do babies wake up in the middle of the night?
Having an uninterrupted night's sleep may be the dream of any recent father but know that it may not be the best for your baby.
BuzzFeed News consulted Peter Fleming, professor of child health and developmental psychology at the University of Bristol and Darcia Narvaez, professor of psychology at the University of Notre Dame to clarify some questions on the subject.
1 – Why do babies wake up? Because they must, it is natural and nothing indicates that sleeping for long periods of time is better for their health or development.
2 – Sleeping an entire night, eight hours in a row, for example, is a necessary social convention to allow working days. “The normal thing is to have awake periods and short sleep intervals”.
Now, babies have much shorter sleep cycles than adults: 60 minutes instead of 90. But while adults wake up and fall asleep without realizing it, babies have trouble falling asleep alone again.
3 – Babies need an “external uterus”. At nine months, babies are at an early stage of their development. They need affection and intimate contact and this is what they seek when crying in the middle of the night to be held in their arms.
Both experts advocate sleeping with the baby in the same bed and Fleming claims until there is evidence of a higher risk of sudden infant death in babies who sleep in the crib in a separate room.
4 – Waking up often is associated with high levels of intelligence and better mental health. Meeting the needs of babies promotes “empathy and self-control” and reduces the risk of depression.
Even if babies learn to stop crying when their parents leave them alone, when their parents do not respond to their appeals, stress levels increase.
5 – Babies sleep during the day and wake up at night to get exclusive parental attention, without the normal distractions of the day.
