A feeding plays a key role in cardiac health, and there are options that make a big difference. It's the avocado case.
An article by Mirror notes that this fruit fits into the most nutritious foods that can be eaten. Versatile, delicious and healthy, has become a common presence in people's lives and there are reasons for it.
Avocado can be used as a substitute for other less healthy foods, such as butter and margarine, or even to grant creaminess to certain dishes.
A study conducted over 30 years with data from 69,000 women and 42,000 men concluded that those who consumed two or more avocados per week had a 16% lower risk of developing cardiovascular diseases compared to those who did not.
They also had a 21% lower risk of developing coronary artery disease, according to Surrey Live.
Why are avocados so healthy?
Avocados are rich in various nutrients, including vitamins and minerals, as well as healthy fibers and fats.
These are also beneficial for the intestinal microbioma, essential for the health of the organism.
Finally, avocados are a source of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compounds.
