O coach of the Academic of Viseu said today that he wants to resist the presumed initial attack of Sporting and counts to add points in the game of the ninth day of the Portuguese Football League, on Sunday.

“What I believe will happen is a strong entry of Sporting, very strong indeed. A team that will try that the Academic can not have ball and I think we will have some difficulty in the initial phase of the game ", admitted Bruno Pinheiro.

The technician believes that if the team manages to resist the first 20 minutes, which expects “very strong” from the opponent, it can then start playing its game and balance the match.

The coach spoke at the press conference forecasting the game of the ninth day, with Sporting, which takes place at José Alvalade Stadium, on Sunday, at 8:30 pm.

“The quality of Sporting is there, at all levels. Very talented players technically, very fast, strong in physical contact, the vast majority of them, therefore, is an opponent that in we have individual is very strong ", stressed.

Bruno Pinheiro also highlighted that Sporting, “offensively, is an extremely difficult team to stop” and “has a very large imbalance capacity”, therefore, “it is a collective quality associated with an individual quality”.

The chief technician of the Academic of Viseu, however, did not want to highlight the qualities and less good points of his team, to “give nothing to the opponent” and chose to “keep quiet”.

“ We are aware of our capabilities and limitations, but I will keep them for me ", said.

Bruno Pinheiro stressed that “football is rich in surprises” and recognized that Sporting is the favorite for the game, but this did not prevent him from assuming that his team “believes it is possible” score.

“We will try, according to our weapons and the analysis we made of the opponent, to present a team that will create difficulties to the opponent and, of course, the great goal is to bring points from there”, Bruno Pinheiro assumed.

Still, he recognized that it is a “game of maximum difficulty, but there is also ambition and the desire to win” by the Scholar of Viseu.

For you, “the best way to defend is to play ball” and, therefore, if the Scholar of Viseu “want to make a competent, competitive game with the ability to discuss the outcome” you will have to “play ball and that is the challenge”.

“ If we want to have a chance to score points, I think the offensive organization, the ball game, will be very important and we'll have to have that ability. We also know that, no matter how much we play the ball, we will hardly have more possession of the ball and we are mentally prepared to suffer, but we are also prepared for when they give us the opportunity to play with it, we will do everything”, said.

The Scholar of Viseu sums up 14 points and occupies seventh place and, on Sunday, at 20:30, moves to the Sporting house, which adds 18 points and follows in third position, in a game arbitrated by Miguel Nogueira, of the Lisbon association.

There are already referees for the games of FC Porto, Sporting and Benfica

Luís Godinho will be in the duel between Gil Vicente and FC Porto, while Miguel Nogueira will direct the match between Sporting and Académico de Viseu. In Santa Clara-Benfica is Cláudio Pereira the appointed referee.
