O riyadh International Airport in Saudi Arabia announced today that it will resume aviation activity on Sunday, after two weeks paralyzed by attacks by Yemen's Hutis forces.
On social network X, the international airport King Khalid, in the Saudi capital, revealed that domestic flights at terminal 1 and international flights of Saudi airlines at terminal 2 will be resumed from Sunday.
On October 10, 13 people died and more than 300 were injured at King Khalid International Airport in the worst attack on civilians in the Saudi kingdom in the last decade.
Allies of Iran, the Hutis have intensified operations against Saudi Arabia since the beginning of October, targeting several energy production and distribution facilities.
The Hutis claim that attacks on Saudi targets are a response to Saudi Arabia’s bombings against its positions in Yemen, which also include civilian targets such as Sana airport.
Saudi Arabia has intervened militarily in Yemen since 2015, after the Hutis took over the country's capital at the end of 2014.
