Aorn denounced a “dangerous scale” due to attacks on state institutions and medical centres, according to a statement from the Lebanese Presidency.

The Lebanese Head of State stated that the bombings “go beyond” the repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement and the framework agreement signed in June, stating that this time the targets were state institutions and facilities aimed at meeting the needs of the population.

Aoun specifically referred to the attack on the Ministry of Finance building in Nabatieh, which suffered significant damage, and the destruction of Ghandour hospital, stating that both incidents demonstrate a pattern of attacks extending beyond the alleged military targets.

The Lebanese President also recalled a previous attack on a state security centre that resulted in deaths, stating that the series of attacks shows that civilian administrations and health facilities are also being targeted.

Aoun took full responsibility for the escalation of violence and urged the United States and the international community to take immediate action to stop the violations and hold the aggressors accountable.

Despite the attacks, Aoun said that Lebanon remains committed to preserving its sovereignty, the stability of the south of the country and the security of its citizens.

According to the Lebanon Public Health Ministry, at least four people died and another 20 were injured today in attacks on Nabatieh, Nabatieh al-Fawqa, Arab Salim and Kafr Rumman.

Israel stated that its forces were responding to the launch of two drones by the Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah against Israeli soldiers operating in the so-called “security zone” in southern Lebanon and announced that one of the drones had been shot down.

According to the latest data from the Lebanese Ministry of Health, the Israeli attacks caused 4,358 deaths in Lebanon since March 2, shortly after the start of the war between the US and Israel against Iran.
