Orecent years have been marked by strong redundancies in the technological industry, with giants such as Microsoft, Meta, Amazon, among others, choosing to fire thousands of workers.

To stress that this was a long-awaited decision among Apple observers. Turns out, last year, the tech giant decided to restructure the virtual reality team – the Apple Vision Group – and the head of that department, Mike Rockwell, was allocated to the division dedicated to the development of the digital assistant Siri.

It must be remembered that Vision Pro remains the only hardware product in the virtual reality area released by Apple. This device was originally released in early 2024 at a price of $3,499 – a value that was updated in June to the $3,699 due to the scarcity of RAM memory components that has been felt in recent months.

Despite Apple's (and CEO Tim Cook's) interest in the world of virtual and augmented reality, Vision Pro has never achieved the same kind of success as other brand products. Furthermore, rumors have also circulated that, rather than a successor to Vision Pro, Apple currently has as its priority to launch glasses equipped with Artificial Intelligence to rival the Meta Ray-Ban.

Apple's first Artificial Intelligence goggles are believed to be officially announced during the WWDC event in 2027 (which is due to take place in June) and launched on the market at the end of the year.
