O Benfica went to Cyprus today to win in the Europe League of football, remaining in the group of race leaders, while Torreense suffered heavy defeat in Hungary, on a third difficult journey for Ruben Amorim and Paulo Fonseca.

In Nicosia, in the face of Omonia, Benfica continued the 100% victorious course in the competition, with a 4-1 triumph, with the same result as in Budapest, but for Ferencváros in the reception to Torreense, emblem to fight for survival in the II League and that is in the Europa League for winning the last edition of the Cup of Portugal.

In England, Amorim's AC Milan was defeated from Bournemouth, now 15th ranked in the English championship, by 3-0, and in Germany, Paulo Fonseca's Lyon suffered the same defeat, but with Hoffenheim, also under the Bundesliga.

In Cyprus, in the face of an opponent who also knew how to win, the Benfica reached a victory with a goal of Nego (14 minutes), in the goal itself, Pavlidis (49), Aursnes (76) and Prestianni (85), while Kakoulis (42) still regained equality in the first part.

Marco Silva's team thus reached a maximum of nine points and leads the league phase together with Bayer Leverkusen, Bournemouth, Ferencváros and Olympiacos.

In the Hungarian capital, the Torreense suffered the second defeat in the league phase, with Dele Yusuf, former Estoril, at 20 minutes, Mariano Gómez, at 58, Mohamed Ali-Diadié, at 80 at the very goal, and Krisztian Lisztes, at 89, to give a new triumph to the unbeatable Ferencváros.

The Spanish man Manuel Pozo, at 23 minutes, still gave some hope to the formation of Torres Vedras, which follows with three points.

Night to forget for Ruben Amorim in England, with António Silva leading the defense of Bournemouth and with goals of Kluivert, at seven minutes of Penalti, of Tavernier, at 32, also of great penalty, and Adli, at 84, to give triumph to the English.

In addition to the departure, the Portuguese technician has everything to be ‘furious’ with the French goalkeeper Mike Maignan, team captain, who was expelled for assaulting an opponent during the marking of a corner kick, in the bid that resulted in the second penalt for the house team.

Bayer Leverkusen won in Greece the OFI Crete, by 2-0, with an ‘bis’ by Jonas Hofmann, one of the goals with assistance from Afonso Moreira, while Olympiacos, with his Portuguese ‘armada’, beat Sparta Prague at home by 1-0. Chiquinho, Jota Silva and Gelson Martins were the first and Gustavo He only joined the second part of the Greek team.

After two triumphs, the Lyon, by Paul Fonseca, fell with a bang on German soil, with Kramaric (45+4 minutes), Daghim (49) and Hlozek (83) giving the first victory to Hoffenheim.

It was not a memorable journey for Portuguese coaches in foreign teams, far from it, since Tulipa, with the Ararat, was shot in Armenia by AZ Alkmaar (4-0), while Vítor Bruno smiled with his 'Anderlecht' by winning in Poland the Jagiellonia (3-0).

The Ararat, of Tulip, is even one of the four teams still to zero in the league phase, along with the Plzen (lose in the Czech Republic with Levski Sofia by 2-1) and two historical: the Marseilles, which lost in the field of Sturm Graz (1-0), and the Celtic, defeated in Glasgow by Celta Vigo (2-1).

With Luciano Spalletti very challenged in the position of coach, Juventus did not go beyond a tie in Turin with Rennes (2-2), in a third round that had several goals, the most loosely played by Real Sociedad, with Gonçalo Guedes the titular, in a 6-0 to Lilleström in Norway.

Amorim lives a nightmare and is humiliated in England. Paulo Fonseca loses

On his return to England, AC Milan lived a night of terror and lost on his visit to Bournemouth. Maignan was expelled from the Italian side. Lyon, by Paulo Fonseca, lost in Germany.
