Colleen Zenk, an American actress best known for work on the small screen, as in “As the World Turns” or “The Young and the Restless”, was arrested on 15 May after she had an accident.

Authorities were called that day because of a collision between two cars near Strada Place. Colleen Zenk was then accused of driving under the influence of alcohol with cause of damage, and of driving with 0.15 (or higher) of alcohol in the blood, as indicated in the records at the time.

The representative of the actress said in a statement to People magazine, on June 30, that “the accusations are being challenged”. “Mrs. Zenk was not convicted of anything. The truth will come out in the court”, he added.

A witness will have shared with the authorities that Colleen Zenk left a handicapped parking lot near a Tommy Bahama store when his car collided with another vehicle that was parked. The actress allegedly followed the car after the collision, before being stopped after a short distance. And, they say, he seemed to be staggering when he left the vehicle.

The element of the authorities that met the occurrence also mentioned the smell of alcohol that it felt in the presence of the artist.

Colleen Zenk took over before the police who had been in a bar, where he claims to have consumed “two glasses of wine”.

The court records also show that the actress posted bail after she was arrested. Since then, he has declared himself innocent through his lawyer. The next hearing is scheduled for July 29th.

People also reports that Colleen Zenk already has a history of driving under the influence of alcohol. In 2017 the first infraction in Collier County was listed. She had also been arrested in Connecticut in 2010, after police claimed that she was driving wrong and that she had invaded the other lane, and also received charges of driving under the influence of alcohol.
