A third was for good. Sporting grossed, on the afternoon of Wednesday, the first victory in the present edition of the UEFA Youth League, by receiving and winning the LASK Linz (2-1), in play of the 3rd round of the single league phase.

In the stadium Aurélio Pereira, at the Cristiano Ronaldo Academy in Alcochete, the first goal of the match was scored by Salvador Blopa, a player who was called by Tiago Fernandes to help the sub-19 in this European race.

Shortly after the break, the 19-year-old advanced was called to convert a major penalty, and he did not forgive: ball to one side, Schillinger, LASK Linz goalkeeper, to the other.

Sporting was comfortable with the advantage situation and even had opportunities to increase the result. However, at 71 minutes, the lions did not escape a great scare.

The referee pointed out a major penalty, this time in favour of the Austrians, but Luka Petric acted on the goal and defended Fabian Jindra's shot, who tried to put the ball on the left side of the goal.

The leonina advantage would be extended even in discounts, with Rafael Camacho ending the doubts in Alcochete, although it is even reduced to ten units, due to the expulsion of Sandro Gamboa by accumulation of yellow cards.

Even before the final whistle, a new major penalty for LASK Linz was noted, with Petric taking down an opponent player. In converting the maximum punishment, Jonas Ilk was far more effective than Jindra, and reduced the difference in the marker.
