O president Donald Trump said this Monday that the decision of the United States to remove the bombers from the Fairford military base in the UK had to do with “some threats.”.

In statements to journalists, Donald Trump said that the United States was aware of a “threat”. As a result, they decided to remove the bombers from the British base.

“ There were threats, so instead of provoking the enemy... we pushed them away a little, not too far”he did.

The U.S. President pointed out that “know who is behind the threat”, no further details.

It is recalled that the United States Air Force has repatriated its bombers stationed at the RAF Fairford military air base in England, used to attack Iran after an investigation into a planned terrorist attack on the facility.

The British police intervened on 27 September on the spot in southwestern England after reports of “three suspicious vehicles”.

A large perimeter was isolated and dozens of homes were evacuated around the base, which was used by the US military in the war against Iran.

A British and Iranian citizen of dual nationality was arrested last week in central London on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack following a security incident at the RAF Fairford Air Base in late September.

In total, six people were arrested and later released on bail during the investigation.

Although Iran has denied any involvement, the country has already stated that it considers any basis used to attack its territory as a legitimate target.

The RAF Fairford, located 160 kilometers from London, was used by American bombers during decades of conflict in the Middle East.
