A Judicial Police (JP) arrested a 32-year-old man of foreign nationality in Lisbon for strong evidence of the practice of two crimes of sexual abuse of persons incapable of aggravated resistance, one of which was attempted.

In a statement sent this Wednesday, October 14, to News to Minutes, the inspectors reveal that the victim is a young adult, 22 years old, “carrier of congenital genetic change, characterized by delay in motor and mental development, circumstances that put her in a situation of particular vulnerability”.

The man will have approached the young woman on the public road and embarrassed her, “prevalence of her physical superiority”, to abuse her.

The Judiciary also reports that the suspect “adopted persecutory behaviors in relation to the victim, having searched for her in places she usually attended” and even knowing where she lived.

In addition to abuse crimes, the suspect is in an irregular situation on the national territory and has a criminal record for drug trafficking.

Faced with this, the man was arrested and, in the meantime, present the first judicial interrogation with the Court of Lisbon, having been applied to him the most serious measure of coercion, that of preventive imprisonment.
