Carney also announced the release of 350 million Canadian dollars (EUR 218 million) to provide air defense to Ukraine.
Interceptors will be provided to Kiev by Canada through a US program open to Ukraine's allies to finance their war costs.
On the other hand, the two governments have established a partnership for the production of drones and anti-drone systems.
Within the framework of this agreement, “one third of the drones produced in Canada” will be delivered to Ukraine for the defence of its territory, Carney detailed.
To help Ukraine spend the winter, Canada will “provide over $430 million in credit guarantees for gas purchase,” he added.
