A tour, which “more than a concert cycle, is a meeting with the Portuguese communities and new audiences throughout Europe, starts on 18 January in Utrecht, the Netherlands”, according to Universal Music Portugal, in a statement released today.

Also in January, Carolina Deslandes then operates in Brussels (Belgium), on 19, Luxembourg City (Luxembourg), on 20, Paris (France), on 21, London (United Kingdom), on 22 and The Hague (Netherlands), on 31.

In February, the tour “Voo” passes through Frankfurt (Germany), on 02, Zurich (Switzerland), on 03, Hamburg, on 04, Bremen, on 05, Berlin, on 06 (all cities in Germany), Valencia, on 08, Madrid, on 09, Tenerife, on 11, and Barcelona, on 12 (all cities in Spain).

In these shows, Carolina Deslandes “presents itself in an intimate trio format: voice, guitar and cello”.

“ Accompanied by guitarist Feodor Bivol and cellist Sandra Martins, Carolina Deslandes brings to Europe the great successes that have marked his career, along with the songs of his latest album, ‘Crying at the Club’, reads in the statement.

After the European tour, Carolina Deslandes will mark 10 years on the song “The Whole Life” with a concert in Lisbon, MEO Arena, on March 6.

“ This concert celebrates ten years of ‘A Vida Toda’, the song that changed its course, and brings together the many hits that made it one of the most influential interpreters and composers of contemporary Portuguese music”, can be read in a statement released when the show was announced, by the promoter Sons in Traffic.

The latest album by Carolina Deslandes, “Crying at the Club”, published in May last year, is “completely different” from everything you’ve ever done, composed of 24 songs made to be consumed throughout the day, at a rate of one per hour.

On the seventh album, Carolina Deslandes wanted to expand the range of producers she worked with. Until then, Actir and Diogo Clemente were their creative partners. “In this album I decided to schedule sessions with different people, some I didn’t even know,” the singer said, in statements to Lusa, at the time of the album’s edition.

From the work with MAR, which because she was a woman made Carolina “another opening to talk about things” and was “a more fearless artist”, Jon, Feodor Bivol, guitarist who accompanied her ten years ago, and D’AY, resulted in the 24 songs that make up the album, but also others, some “to play in nightclubs at night and to dance” and others “to the piano”.
