O the number of shipments of the Green Rail Pass increased by 26% in the first 10 months of 2026 compared to the same period of 2025, reaching 94,495 shipments in October, according to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Housing.
Last September had recorded a record number of shipments (more than 88,000).
In two years, more than 1.5 million shipments were carried out. The data also show that it is the youngest clients, 32% are between 21 and 30 years old and 15% are up to 20 years old.
“ The records of activations of the Green Rail Pass show that it is possible to respond to the challenges of mobility, decarbonized public transport, digitization and at the same time bring the country closer to the railway ", says the Minister of Infrastructure and Housing, Miguel Pinto Luz.
The pass was launched in October 2024, has a cost of 20 euros per month and allows to travel through all CP lines, from north to south of the country, except for Alfa Pendular and Intercities (1st Class).
