“I cried at the end of many scenes.” Sara Norte and the role based on the mother

Sara Norte plays the character Rita in the series “Desnorte” and is based on her mother, Carla Lupi, in her series “Disorte”. This project is coming to SIC and the actress talked about this experience, having shared some details about everything she lived.

“The trailer has already appeared so I’m going to talk a little bit about my character Rita in “Disorth”. The day we were waiting for SIC's response to see if I was going to play the part based on my mother, when I went to lunch, the tin that came to the table had my sister Beatriz's name on it. I thought: the part is mine! And after 15 minutes they called to confirm ", started reporting. 

“ In fact, I've been losing weight for a while now because I had a lot of hope of getting this part. I've prepared myself to exhaustion. I lost about 15 kilos, just sports and food, and a lot of willpower. Sometimes I despaired a little, but I was focused and would not miss this opportunity ", confessed later. 

“[...] I haven’t worked on television like this in about 4 years. Insecurities all come to the top and, despite having started working at the age of 12, there are times when I feel very insecure and shit”, he then vented, also recognizing that makeup and hair “were amazing, just like your mother”. “With me growing old and well marked by the life she was living. Thank you.”

“ The wardrobe did all the incredible research on how my mother dressed at every stage of her life and looking at me in the mirror was finally her. It's kind of crazy, isn't it? I'm playing my mother. I don’t even know if anyone ever did it, it was very good but it also made me realize a lot that at the time [I noticed]”, he said later.

“I cried at the end of many scenes, but I had a team that supported me and that were not needed words. Just being there with me, holding hands. I hope you like my character the way I liked doing it. It was an honor to represent Rita – a character based on the great woman Carla Lupi, a woman without fears, with many weaknesses but full of values ", highlighted equally.
