BMW puts artificial intelligence at the service of its customers, with the possibility of configure a new vehicle with the help of a ChatGPT plugin focused on AI dialogues.
According to a statement, the plugin is directly integrated into the OpenAI platform and can be accessed through the Plugins menu looking for BMW. This applies to both mobile devices and computers. In Portugal, however, we still do not get into the research.
This way users do not need to browse between menus, simply describing what they want from a vehicle with a natural language – from the dynamics of driving to space, from motorization to the use they intend to give, to the costs of use. Then, suggestions about models that fit the descriptions provided – based on the latest data from the official BMW configurator are presented.
It is possible to adjust, compare or improve recommendations at any time during the dialogue. The specification can be opened in the manufacturer's configuration when the customer reaches the desired specification. It is also presented the stock of cars with similar characteristics and even exit the BMW database with information available on the internet in order to better clarify the customer.
