Plink 23 government soldiers were killed in missile and drone attacks carried out by Houthis in Taiz and Lahj provinces, a government military officer told the French news agency AFP.

On the side of the Houthi, military sources reported 40 fighters killed in Saudi attacks and ground combat.

The Houthis, which are in power in one part of Yemen, now control the entire Yemeni coast in the Red Sea, thereby strengthening their dominance over Bab el-Mandeb's narrow strategic, linking Europe to Asia via the Suez Canal.

Some bombings hit telecommunications towers in Taiz Province and caused four deaths, including three children, according to the Houthis.

In Saudi Arabia, a person was killed after the crash during the interception of a drone in Taéf province for the first time since the resumption of hostilities in July.

“ The incident made a deadly victim, of Yemeni nationality, and injured a Saudi and a Pakistani, who is in critical state”, the Saudi Civil Defense announced.

Rare images have been released, in which rescuers can be seen inspecting a destroyed housing with impact walls and a car whose rear window has been destroyed.

Since its offensive – lightning, the Houthis report dozens of retaliation attacks conducted by Saudi Arabia every day.

Its taking control of the coast has generated fears at international level, with global maritime transport already strongly affected by the blockade of the Strait of Ormuz by Tehran, on the other side of the Arabian peninsula, since the start of the Middle East war.
