O north Sea crude, of reference in Europe, closed the session at Intercontinental Exchange to quote $3.02 below the 107.63 with which it ended the transactions on Thursday.

During the early hours, the quotation reached 109.97 dollars, a maximum since mid-May, but from 06:00 in Lisbon, it began to descend, reaching 103.50 dollars, from where it recovered to close above 104 dollars.

In this way, Brent ended up with a series of five consecutive discharge sessions with the largest drop since August 25, when he dropped 3.89%.

This drop in the quotation followed Iran's announcement of a meeting on Monday with eight riverside states in the Persian Gulf to address the establishment of safe navigation routes in the Ormuz Strait.

A few weeks ago, the Iranian government informed of the existence of an agreement with Oman to create a maritime transit corridor in the Strait managed by the two states, which was not implemented.

Today, the Financial Times publishes that the Tehran and Muscat authorities are finalising an agreement, whereby ships would enter Iranian waters and would leave most of them through omamanite space.
