Nthe time to choose a sunscreen, there are several points to consider. If you don't know exactly what to choose, it's best to follow the indications of some dermatologists. Know that there's a kind of protector you never use.
Parade talked to three dermatologists to notice some of the advice they leave on the use of sunscreen. In one of the questions that were asked, Tanya S. Nino revealed that she avoids them at all costs spray sunscreens.
The sunscreen that should be avoided
“It is not clear whether it is safe to inhale the ingredients of sunscreens in spray,” the expert said. “Moreover, i see more patients with sunburn due to incomplete application when using spray. It is also more difficult to reconstitute the ingredients in spray. A cream sunscreen ensures a more uniform application” continues the dermatologist.

So this is the kind of protector that ends up leaving aside and what they do not advise. The publication also left some tips on what should be taken into account when choosing a protector.
In this way, they explain that they always choose a protector that has a broad spectrum of UVA and UVB radiation blockage. “A broad spectrum sunscreen blocks UVA and UVB rays, therefore it will have better protection when the sunscreen is labeled as broad spectrum” continued Tanya S. Nino.
More tips for applying sunscreen
“ There are different types of UV radiation, and it is important to understand how to protect against both,” explains Viktoryia Kazlouskaya, a doctor. “The visible effects of UVA exposure usually appear gradually over the years and include photoaging, wrinkles, pigmentation changes and collagen degradation. UVA radiation also plays an important role in age-related pigmentation changes.”
It should also take into account water and sweat resistant protectors. “Water or sweat resistant sunscreens are the best option. Solar protectors can't claim they're waterproof. The label shall specify whether it is water resistant for 40 minutes or 80 minutes” reveals Melanie Palm.
Another of the suggestions is to reapply the protector several times throughout exposure to the sun.
“The sunscreen is not something that applies and forgets. Reapply regularly, even if you are not swimming or exercising. In the absence of swimming or sweating, the sunscreen needs to be reapplied every two hours. If you are going to swim or play sports, you should choose a water resistant sunscreen for 80 minutes,” Tanya S. Nino says.
