O Israeli President Isaac Herzog today called on the parties to make every effort to form a government coalition and avoid further elections, after Tuesday's legislation has not produced a majority.
“ We must do everything in our power to prevent new elections,” Herzog said in a video message, warning the possibility of a new ballot if negotiations to form a government failed.
The Head of State should appoint in the coming days a candidate to try to form a government coalition, in a parliamentary scenario marked by the absence of a defined majority.
