A Apple announced in September the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone Duo, with the first two released that same month and the foldable to have reached the stores at the end of last week.
Many have been surprised that Apple did not take the opportunity to show more affordable price models, but it seems that in this launch cycle the company chose to reveal more mobile phones in the spring of 2027.
Other than iPhone 18 and new iPhone Air, among them must be iPhone 18e which, as has happened with these models, should be a more modest and affordable mobile phone than the rest of the catalogue. It is worth remembering that today, iPhone 17e costs 889 euros.
There is now some information about the specifications of iPhone 18e, with details to be shared in publications made by Digital Chat Station on the Chinese social network Weibo and later shared by site 9to5mac.
Well, trusting this information, iPhone 18e will have a 6.12 inch OLED display with 60Hz update rate, an A20 processor (2nm), a rear camera with a single 48MP sensor and a front camera “that can be upgraded to 24MP”.
There is no price information, but the possibility that iPhone 18e is entitled to an A20 processor should be a source of enthusiasm. Remember that iPhone 17e is equipped with a 3nm A19 and, considering that the new processor is 2nm, remarkable gains are expected with respect to performance.
We will also have to wait for information on the slot of the iPhone 18e screen, which may be replaced by a Dynamic Island. Remember that iPhone 17e is, for now, the only model in Apple's mobile catalog not to count on a Dynamic Island.
We will only have official announcements about Apple's plans in the spring of 2027, but until then, it is highly likely that we will continue to see more of these rumors about the next phones the company is working on.
