“ One of the Fennec helicopters was the target of flares today [Monday] during a routine photographic operation near a Russian frigate located in international waters off Gedser,” said the Danish Army in a statement.
The frigate fired “two flares toward the helicopter” and “one of them passed very close to the aircraft,” he said.
Denmark’s Foreign Minister, Lars Lokke Rasmussen, today described the incident as “completely unacceptable”.
“The Russian ambassador was therefore called to provide clarifications about the incident,” he informed the guardianship in a statement.
