More than 200 artists and 20 cultural associations will participate in the second edition of ENSEADA – Festival de Artes do Funchal, which takes place in the capital of Madeira from 17 to 19 September, today indicated the municipality.

O the event involves about 30 shows and initiatives, and the programming privileges the participation of local artists and cultural structures.
In a statement, the Municipality of Funchal (PSD/CDS-PP) underlines the “involvement of different cultural and creative agents”, highlighting the collective and multidisciplinary dimension of the festival.
The ENSEADA – Festival of Arts of Funchal 2026 extends through several places in the city centre, such as the Plaza Amarela, the Auditorium of the Municipal Garden, Largo do Corpo Santo, the Teatro Municipal Baltazar Dias, the Museum The City of Sugar, the Studio of Artistic Creation and Praça do Municipal, also involving several commercial establishments.
“ This territorial dispersion makes it possible to transform the urban space into a place of creation, presentation and meeting between artists and audiences, referring to the municipality, stressing that the event contributes to “affirm Funchal as a space of enjoyment, creation and cultural participation”.
The ENSEADA festival is organized by the Municipality of Funchal, led by social democrat Jorge Carvalho, and represents an investment of EUR 197,000, co-financed by the European Union under Madeira 2030.
