The Tesla Model 3 is among the five best-selling models in Portugal this year, but it suddenly broke in sales in the last two months – with four copies.

YEAH a case that may seem strange: tesla Model 3 is, at the same time, one of the best-selling models in Portugal this year and the least sold in recent times.
Data from the Automobile Association of Portugal (ACAP) for August show that the American electric sedan he only enrolled one unit in august (against 158 of the same month of 2025). Back in July, there were only three (102 in july last year).
Why, this is a sudden break that appears after two months of leadership over 1,000 copies – (1,231 new enrolments in june and 1,047 in may).
It was thus two months of great growth that added 2,278 new registrations of the model – more than half of the total 3,719 marketed between January 1 and August 31 (61.25 percent).
By April, it had been eight, with 580 in March, 845 in February, while in January it was not in the top 50 released by ACAP.
It is noted that tesla Model 3 is not only the fifth best-selling model in Portugal the total accumulated from january to august, as well as the 100 percent electric sales leader so far this year in the country. The 3,719 already sold are a clear growth compared to the homologous period of 2025.
It is good to note that at the end of last year the most accessible version of Tesla Model 3 in Portugal – Standard was introduced to the Portuguese market. Currently, it is proposed for 37,975 euros, with up to 572 km of autonomy (WLTP), rear drive and possibility to regain autonomy to 286 km in a Supercharger in 15 minutes.
