A university sentenced to seven years and nine months in prison for doing cyberbullying to several colleagues of the Higher Institute of Social and Political Sciences (ISCSP) of the University of Lisbon, will have continued with criminal activity during the trial and even after being convicted.

According to CNN Portugal, who advances with the information, the defendant, who will soon have to surrender to prison to serve time, is suspected of a new process.

Authorities have identified seven new direct victims. The hints are dozens.

The television station tells us that the university will have invented the death of another young woman and that they have been able to believe that she was “dedicated to luxury prostitution”.

The father spoke of the nightmare that the whole family has lived since 2023, the year when the daughter began to be tormented by the student, however, condemned.

The situation is so complicated, the man says, under anonymity, that the condemned woman “came to the point of circulating the false news of the death of one of my daughters, leading friends and acquaintances to believe that she had died”, as well as official entities from other countries.

Nowadays, “at home, every notification on the phone can be more bad news”. The family “was forced to resort to psychological and psychiatric monitoring”.

Despite not knowing why the young woman decided to attack her daughter, the man has no doubt that the purpose “was to denigrate completely the image of the family”. The young woman shared “manipulated photos of pornographic nature” of her daughter, insinuating that she dedicated herself to “luxury prostitution” and made several “accusations directed to the family of tax evasion and illegal exports to Portugal”, crimes that never happened.

The family handed the evidence to the prosecutor (MP) and hired a lawyer. Three years (and a conviction) later, they still wait for Justice and that the suffering caused has an end.

“If you don’t stop her, she won’t stop”

But it's not a single case. By 2024, the college girl was on trial when she began to harbor another young woman.

To CNN Portugal, she admitted to feeling a “total despair” with the situation. She filed a complaint, but as long as the defendant doesn't go into prison, she won't rest.

“If she is arrested, she has no access to technology,” she said, regretting that she has not yet been stopped. “If you don’t stop her, she won’t stop [....]. That woman is crazy”, he shot.

The reason for the choice of the victims remains shrouded in mystery. However, there are common features in all of them: they are young, students, nice and beautiful.

From intimidating messages to obituary

In the trial that culminated in her conviction, it was proved that the university stunned several colleagues, especially one she tortured for two years.

To this young woman, the defendant created false accounts on social networks, in the application of Tinder meetings and simulated interests in men. He sent thousands of emails, disturbing messages, tried to access all his personal accounts. He demanded (hundred of times) that he give up the degree he had just entered, released images at the institute where they both studied and by schools from where the victim was born, ordered in sex shops, restaurants and beauty shops in its name and even made fake medical appointments.

At the university where they both walked, everyone knew what was going on. Neither the victim's mother, aunt, or brother escaped persecution. The convicted university student even made an obituary of the young woman attacked, sending it to various people and institutions.

He always did. Now you'll have to do time

In 2025, the defendant was convicted by the process initiated in 2019. The defendant appealed to the Lisbon Court of Appeal, then to the Supreme Court of Justice and also to the Constitutional Court, since none of the decisions were favourable to her.

This last decision of the Constitutional Court, not to accept its appeal, nor its complaint, will cause the proceedings to be referred to the Court of Relationship and then go down to the first instance, which must enforce the conviction.

The woman now has to report to the prison to serve her time. To the morning post office, the lawyer assured that before the deadline, the client will enter jail by their own means. “She wants to close this chapter,” she assured.

It is recalled that the university was sentenced to seven years and nine months in prison for the crimes of persecution, computer falsity and slanderous complaint. The sentence was reduced in a year following the amnesty granted on the occasion of Pope Francis' visit to Portugal.

University student who pursued colleagues for two years goes to prison

The university that, for two years, pursued several colleagues goes to prison after the Constitutional Court (TC) maintain the conviction of six years and nine months. The young woman is expected to report to the prison in the next 22 days.
