O Everton now temporarily ascended to the fifth place of the English Football League, after winning Coventry home by 3-1, with Thierno Barry featured in the 10th round.
In a meeting resolved only in the second part, the French advance scored the first two goals of the ‘toffee’ at 56 and 61 minutes before watching Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (81).
The newly promoted Coventry was still ahead, with a goal from the coast-marfine Yann Gboho at 52 minutes, but did not avoid the third defeat in the last four games.
With this triumph, Everton temporarily entered the European qualification posts with 16 points, surpassing neighbouring Liverpool (sixth with 15), while Coventry is 16, with nine, two above the demotion zone.
