A Premier League lived a few weeks of pause which led to much controversy around Manchester City, due to the 114 accusations that he was found guilty due to financial irregularities. However, this Sunday, the Citizens visited Anfield Road to face Liverpool in a game counting for the sixth leg of the England championship, and did not yield to pressure.
The set led by Enzo Maresca remains unstoppable at the start of his walk in this edition of the race, by winning the reds by 0-3, in a match that ended up being marked by an expulsion that changed the course of the ever scalding duel between these two teams.
This is because the first part was very balanced, with few goals and Gianluigi Donnarumma to be one of the main actors, with some speeches that caused Manchester fans to sigh for relief.
The tone of the meeting continued to be that in the first quarter of the hour of the second half of the game, until the moment Ryan Gravenberch saw the second yellow card at 62 minutes after stopping the counterattack commanded by Jérémy Doku.
From then on, it was the slip-up for the class of Andoni Iraola, who was even being the most dangerous at the start of the match. Manchester City armed itself with its weapons and scored at 65 minutes for the first time, with the usual suspect Erling Haaland making one more goal in the personal account, in which it was the sixth consecutive game to score from the international spearhead by Norway.
And it was not necessary to wait much longer for the result to be changed again, since Jérémy Doku took advantage of Elliot Anderson's assistance to spin on himself and apply a shot in style and placed directly at the top left angle of the goal defended by Brazilian Alisson Becker, who had no chance to defend this goal of the extreme Belgian, three minutes after the first of the match.
