FC Porto wins Barcelos Ockey and conquers Elite Cup

O FC Porto won the Elite Cup for skate hockey for the second time by winning the Barcelos Óckey for 5-2 in the final in Santo Tirso.

César Carballeira put the ‘dragons’ in advantage at eight minutes, but Kyllian Gil answered at 18, restoring equality, before Gonçalo Alves wasted a great penalty that could have put the porters back in front.

The balance broke at the start of the second part, with Carballeira ‘bisar’ at four minutes, and Ezequiel Mena increasing to 3-1 just three minutes later, giving the FC Port a comfortable advantage.

The Barcelos Óckey, which had eliminated Benfica in the semi-finals, still reacted and reduced to 21 minutes, through Miguel Rocha, keeping open the decision of the final.

The Minhota formation risked everything in the final moments, removing the goalkeeper to play in numerical superiority, but Rafa Costa took advantage of the spaces to score twice, at 24 and 25 minutes, the last already with the deserted goal, fixing the 5-2 and confirming the Portist conquest.
