A princess Alexandra, daughter of Carolina of Monaco, is engaged. This Friday the young woman announced the news through social networks where she showed up alongside her longtime boyfriend, Ben-Sylvester Strautmann. The couple's been together for a decade.
The 27-year-old writer shared this striking moment and gathered a series of photos on social media, where she exhibited her engagement ring, a yellow diamond.
The couple was first seen in public at the end of 2016 and made the relationship official the following year. The two have in common the love of sport: while Alexandra was a competitive figure skater, Ben played basketball in Monaco.
Alexandra Carlota Ulrica Maria Virginia Princess of Hannover is the second daughter of Princess Carolina of Monaco and the only daughter in common with Prince Ernest August of Hannover.
Carolina has three more children, the result of her second marriage to Stefano Casiraghi. The couple were the father of Andrea Casiraghi, Charlotte Casiraghi and Pierre Casiraghi. Stefano died in 1990 in an accident during a boat race and the princess married Ernesto Augusto of Hannover in 1999.
