Chama City Transformer CT2 and is an electric microcar that does not want to be “just another” option. It is distinguished by the fact that its dimensions can be adjusted in width, as if “folding”.
Fully electric, does not impress by its performance: accelerates from 0 to 50 km/h in five seconds and reaches a maximum of 90 km/h (depending on the configuration), with a motor of 20 cv. Autonomy can reach 100 miles.
Yes, it is, thought for the cities and not for big trips. Executive director and co-founder Asaf Formoza explained on LinkedIn that the question that led to this model was: “What if urban vehicles were designed around the city’s dimensions instead of highways between cities?”.
The great asset of CT-2 is in its dimensions, even because it can transform and adapt when space is not enough: it is that it is its width can be adjusted by the driver between 1 meter and 1,3 meters (the length is fixed at 2.5 meters). The cargo compartment can be up to 450 liters.
The CT-2 is part of the lessons collected with the CT-1 prototype, having been improved at the level of functionality, comfort and aesthetics, according to the design director Eyal Cremer. Who also promised on the company's website: “The City Transformer CT-2 represents a leap into unexplored territory in the world of design. Our microcar challenges the standards of proportions, size and usability”.
Available for booking, cT-02 costs from 16 thousand euros. It proposes front collision alert and dead angle detection, such as air conditioning, between the equipment.
