O president of the city today considered that the PS has to participate in the construction of housing solutions, for being one of the responsible for the crisis, and called for the intervention of the President of the Republic.
“ It seems to me quite unacceptable that one of the great leaders of the housing crisis in Portugal has come to solve the problem, say it has nothing to do with it and hopes that the Aquira will solve the problem in quotes,” said André Ventura.
The leader of the Aquista spoke to journalists at the Palacete de São Bento, at the end of a meeting of about 40 minutes with the Prime Minister. Moments earlier, the Secretary-General left the meeting with Louis Montenegro saying that there is no agreement on rent law and accused the Government of intransigence.
“ I do not know whether the President of the Republic will want to have a word here either, in the sense that these meetings take place a few days after a Council of State, and I think the idea for the country is that the three largest parties assume their responsibility and give people some comfort in terms of property and rent law. And so, perhaps the President of the Republic, who is also socialist, must have some intervention here”, said the leader of the Enough.
André Ventura assured that “Enough will not let the causes of the housing crisis not be responsible for solutions in housing”.
“ It takes a lot of can and a lot of shame to have been in the government while the whole housing scenario has worsened and now to leave a meeting and say they want nothing to do with it”, he criticized.
The leader of the Aquida said he brought 50 proposals to the meeting with the Prime Minister and insisted on measures already in the State Budget for next year.
At the end of the meeting, the president of Aquista indicated that further technical meetings will take place, but no further meetings with the Prime Minister are planned.
