Ua 57-year-old man of foreign nationality was located and detained in the Algarve in the performance of a European arrest warrant issued by the German judicial authorities.
According to the Judicial Police, in a statement sent this Saturday to the newsrooms, the individual is suspected of the crime of drug trafficking.
“ During the year 2022, in the course of an investigation, it was found that man was dedicated to the trafficking of hashish in the municipality of Bitz, Germany,” said PJ, who now, in a domestic search, found in the suspect’s possession, “a high amount of oxycodone and buprenorphine pills”.
For these facts, he could be sentenced to 15 years in prison.
The detainee will be present at the Évora Court of Relation for the application of a coercion measure.
