O Instagram will finally allow users to add to the profile grid the photos in which they have been identified by other people on the social network, which will help give more freedom with regard to what enters or not into each other's profile.

How does the engadget site, users who want to add to the profile grid some photograph in which they have been identified can do so from various ways.

Among them are the notification you receive in private messages when a photo is shared where it is identified, from the three-point icon in the upper right corner of the photo publication and also from your photo separator where it is identified, keeping the publication you want pressed until the option to Add to the grid appears.

Complaints about Facebook, Instagram, Google and X shoot 95%

Complaints about digital services (Facebook, Instagram, Google and X) rose by 95% in the second quarter of 2026, consolidating the fourth consecutive quarter of increased complaints, according to the National Communications Authority (ANACOM).

As soon as you add these photos to the grid, the posts will be presented from the latest to the oldest but, since Instagram allows you to reorder the grid posts, you can arrange these photos in which you have been identified as more convenient.

This new option within the reach of users is not much different than Instagram already allows with regard to collaborations between pages, with photos and videos appearing on the pages mentioned at the same time if they all want it.

Note that this is a feature that may not be released to all Instagram users simultaneously. The social network tends to make new features available to users gradually, so some people can already count on this new option while others will have to wait a little longer.
