The Cape Verdean President, José Maria Neves, announced today the re-application to office in the November 15 elections, at a press conference in the capital, Praia.

“ Sor candidate for President of the Republic of Cape Verde. I do so with a sense of duty fulfilled, with serenity, with confidence, with a spirit of brotherhood and with an unrelented desire to continue together serving our country”, announced the head of state elected for the first time in 2021 and who seeks to win a second term.
José Maria Neves stated that the five-year term “hand in hand” ends with the population, “building a winning country”.
