A young man was arrested for being suspected of setting fire to a local accommodation (AL) in which he lived “wide months” in Vila Nova de Gaia on June 12. There were about 30 guests at the residence.

Um young 22 years old was arrested out of flagrant offense for being suspected of setting fire to a local accommodation (AL) in Vila Nova de Gaia, last June 12.
The individual “set up a fire in the room where he lived for many months and in which about thirty people were staying”, according to a statement from the Judicial Police (PJ) addressed this Thursday to the essays.
The authorities also pointed out that the crime occurred “without reason to justify it” and that “the fire just did not cause further damage due to the rapid detection and intervention of guests”.
The student will now be present the first judicial interrogation, to apply coercion measures.
This was an action by the Northern Directorate of PJ.
