Nlast year, the Yangwang U9 Xtreme – Chinese hypercar of the brand belonging to BYD – reached the speed 496.22 km/h in a test performed on the Papenburg circuit (Germany). Now, you want to do even better, reaching the 500 km/ h.
According to Car News China, the goal was announced by BYD Vice President Stella Li, on the margins of the Goodwood Speed Festival – which took place last weekend in the UK. The idea is to return to the German track next November.
The car industry is also about exceeding limits and records, demonstrating the capabilities of technologies and designs, the ambition to reach new levels is natural.
But the truth is that Yangwang U9 Xtreme is already the fastest production car in the world, having surpassed the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ for almost 6 km/h.
So the question is: since common use, even on track, hardly reaches such speeds, can these attempts of record be a “crazy” with unnecessary risks associated to the responsible pilot? The answer should, of course, vary according to each other's views and views.
The Yangwang U9 Xtreme derives from the supercar Yangwang U9, being even more aggressive. From the outset, thanks to the aerodynamics focused on high performance such as the front splitter and the large rear diffuser, such as the rear spoiler.
The super-sport has more than 3,000 hp of power thanks to its four electric motors, having the DiSus-X active suspension from BYD, a powerful binary distribution system and a battery of iron and lithium phosphate (Blade Battery) with two cooling layers.
