Márquez, who left the second position of the grid, beat the Italian Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia), author of the ‘pole position’, for 1,068 seconds, with the Spanish Jorge Martin (Aprilia) in third, to 3,538.
The champion of the world in title, Marc Márquez, took off better and took command of the race in the first turn, resisting the initial pressure of the Italian pilot to complete the first lap in the lead.
The oldest of the Márquez brothers progressively increased the advantage and, already in the second half of the race, had 1.1 seconds on Bezzecchi, while Jorge Martín, leader of the championship, ranked third.
Bezzecchi reacted and reduced the difference to about half a second when five laps were missing, keeping the winner under pressure, but Marc Márquez responded with a sequence of quick laps.
At two laps of the final, Spanish established the fastest lap of the race and a new record in race on the Misano circuit, definitely moving away from Bezzecchi to ensure victory.
Marc Márquez thus compensated for the mistake made in the 2025 sprint race, when he fell while leading, approaching Jorge Martín in the World Cup ranking.
Bezzecchi finished in second place, reaching his first result between the first two in a sprint race this season, while Martín was third, 2.4 seconds from his teammate.
The Italian Fabio Di Giannantonio (Ducati) was less than half a second from the podium, finishing in fourth position, ahead of the Spanish Álex Márquez (Ducati), fifth.
Also Spanish Pedro Acosta (KTM) was sixth, after engaging in an intense duel with Fermín Aldeguer (Ducati) during the first laps.
The two pilots played in several curves and Aldeguer lost positions to Álex Márquez, Acosta and Raúl Fernández (Aprilia), finishing in eighth place.
Raúl Fernández was seventh, while Italian Luca Marini (Honda), ninth, won the final spot in the sprint race.
With the results of the sprint race, the top three World Championship winners, Jorge Martín, Marc Márquez and Marco Bezzecchi, were separated by 22 points.
The main race of the San Marino GP, 14th of the 22 rounds of the MotoGP World Cup, takes place on Sunday, from 14:00 local (13:00 in Lisbon).
