O Mazda CX-3 prepares to be renewed. The sub-compact crossover SUV will have a new generation soon, 12 years after its original arrival on the market in 2014. The arrival is already pointed to next year.
This will be a bet that will allow the manufacturer to compete in segment B – particularly important in the European market (although the entry of the new CX-3 into Europe has not been officially confirmed). The new generation of Mazda's smallest SUV was announced to investors in the quarterly results report – where you can see a teaser who anticipates its silhouette, without being known details.
CX-3 has not been for sale in Europe since 2021, despite integrating a particularly relevant segment into the Old Continent market. The new generation should continue to be compact and by teaser it appears to have applied the lines of the current brand design philosophy.
Mazda is told that Thailand will play a strengthened role “as a strategic production base” of the new CX-3. It provides that the launch of the model – which will be fully developed by the Japanese manufacturer – be phased not only in Asia and Japan, but also in “other markets from 2027”.
No concrete plans have been announced for Europe, so it is not known whether or when the new generation's Mazda CX-3 will come to the European market.
