ANDm reported today, the energy company explained that this change will reduce the number of equipment, maintaining installed power and increasing energy production by 75%.
In addition, the projects incorporate storage systems with batteries, with a total capacity of 26 megawatts (MW) and 94 megawatts-hours (MWh), and autonomy of up to four hours.
These projects were covered with €68 million in the second call for investment support for the repotential of wind installations and for the technological and environmental renewal of small hydroelectric plants up to 50 MW, an initiative managed by the IDAE and funded by the European Union.
The parks that will pass through the repotification are: Los Llanos, in the province of Málaga; Trucafort, in Tarragona; Nerea in Zamora; Uzkita in Navarra; El Pilar, in Zaragoza; and Los Pedreros, in Albacete.
The parks, which add a total power of 207 megawatts (MW), have Naturgy as a majority shareholder and have local partners such as L’Energética (in Trucafort) and EREN (in Nerea).
