Brazilian advanced Nenê finished his career at the age of 43 and will be assistant coach of the future AVS technical team, announced today the Portuguese II League football club.

“ O now former player says goodbye to a long career and great successes, but starts another, the assistant coach of the future avense technical team, in the stadium where so many people saw him smile in recent times ", wrote the club, in a statement published on the official website.
With 200 goals in 622 meetings throughout his career, Nenê represented, in Brazil, São Bento, Riachuelo–SE, Santa Cruz, Cruzeiro and Ipatinga, before heading to Portugal to play at the National for loan, at the time 2008/09, where he finished the championship as the best scorer, with 20 goals.
The advance later passed by the Italians Cagliari, Hellas Verona, Spezia and FC Bari 1908, and later returned to Portugal to represent Moreirense, Leixões and Vilafranquense.
Nenê finished his career after three seasons on AVS, serving 35 goals and five assists in 84 games.
The winner was on the ascent of the AVS to the I League at the time 2023/24, in an edition where he was the best scorer and the best player in the race.
