“God of War Laufey” was announced in June and, according to producer Santa Monica Studio, will be released exclusively for PlayStation 5 to February 16, 2027.

A Sony announced in June that “God of War Laufey” will be the next game of the series and, at the timeIt was speculated that the release would only take place at the end of next year. However, it seems that Sony intends to release this new PlayStation 5 exclusive earlier than expected.
The company attended San Diego Comic-Con in the US, which took place this weekend and took advantage to confirm that the release is scheduled for February 16, 2027.
As announced, “God of War Laufey” will count on Kratos’ wife, Laufey (also known as Faye), to have her own adventure in the spiritual world after dying before the events of “God of War” 2018 – which marked the beginning of the Nordic saga.
The announcement of “God of War Laufey” was marked by a 20-minute trailer, which allowed fans to have a closer look at gameplay, which also made evident the presence of deities and mythologies of different origins and a fight that seems to do justice to the roots of the franchise.
In addition to the release date of “God of War Laufey”, the iGN website that the producer Santa Monica Studio took advantage of the same event to indicate that, after this game, has plans to launch a new “God of War” with Kratos as protagonist and that will be a continuation of the events of this next title.
